The intention of WILDNESS LABS is to explore wildness, spontaneity and full uninhibited expression of all of our parts. To allow energies and expressions to pour out of you without pushing them down or restricting them. To allow expressions that typically aren’t allowed in social space, or at all. Whatever emerges, we will let it out. Whatever comes, we will express it. This includes: sound, movement, dance, gestures and words.
Why? Because something incredible is afforded when EVERYTHING is allowed. Our psyches are able to let out and express what they always already contain. We are able to be with all the fluid content of our depths. We are able to let it all out. We are able to be radically authentic (beyond what we even thought possible).

Winter Solstice Cacao & Transformational Breathwork Ceremony
Join us for an evening of reflection, community gathering and ceremony with cacao and the breath as we honor the Winter Solstice - the longest night of the year and start of winter. The Solstice is a time for going inward and reflecting - for releasing, reflecting, shedding and embodying our own inner balance as from here, the light will slowly begin to return. Our gathering will weave cacao spirit medicine with other supporting plant allies, gentle reflection and connective practices, wintering ritual and a conscious connected breathwork journey as together, we honor the natural rhythms of the season and set our intentions for the cycle ahead.

The Body Speaks: From Impulse to Expression
A weekend workshop held by The Deep Play Institute
Psychological Gesture is an embodiment technique developed by Russian actor and teacher Michael Chekhov in the late 1920s and early 1930s to help actors embody a character’s inner life through movement. By distilling a character’s main desire or emotion into a single, expressive action, Chekhov used the gesture as a gateway to genuine feeling and psychological truth, allowing actors to access emotion through the body rather than through analysis. For our weekend workshop, The Deep Play Institute will be bringing in Anna Karpukhina, a renown theatre and movement trainer, director and choreographer from Seattle, who will be leading a workshop drawing from the core principles of Chekhov’s technique.

We open with a tea ceremony to drop into our hearts and bodies through the medicine of tea and listening. We then enter into breathwork orientation, and do an hour breath work session where we continue to listen to impulse in the body and allow movement and expression, or deep stillness-whatever the body and mind os needing. we end with integration and sharing

Full Moon Cacao & Transformational Breathwork Ceremony With Kristen Yates
The time of the Full Moon is an energy peak, like the crest of a cosmic energy wave that's been building throughout the lunar month. It is a time of recharging and letting go of what is no longer serving us, ready to start fresh and clear with a powerful vision and intention for our lives.
Join us for a connective and creative evening of community spirit and inner journeying in ceremony with Cacao, intuitive self-expression, and somatic healing through Transformational Breathwork.
Cacao is a medicine of the heart who shows us how to open more deeply to our authentic selves. We will work with the cacao through intention-setting, partner and group connection, and guided meditation, and then explore some guided pranayama practices to release physical and energetic blockages in preparation for our transformational breathwork journey.
Transformational Breathwork helps us to deepen our inner connection, improve our physical vitality, elevate mental and emotional clarity, and awaken our spiritual connection. It works by helping you to bypass the conscious mind and move into the subtle body to access the deeper layers of emotion, while gently supporting the nervous system.
A breathwork journey is a highly effective way to move stuck energy and tap into a deeply intuitive state while remaining grounded in the body!
During our breathwork journey, you will lay down on your mat and be gently guided into a rhythmic breathing pattern supported by the music and my voice helping you to travel deeply into your body, allowing the breath to create space for release and renewal.
For many, the breath utilized in this way can help to release stored emotional energy that has been keeping them blocked and stagnated for years. And for many others, it is a portal to their innate wisdom and medicine within, an activation of their true essence and gifts.
Our journey will conclude with a group integration, with time for journaling and sharing insights and further support for one another.

What to Bring: Please bring a mug for cacao, a water bottle, a journal and pen, and comfortable clothing (layers are good for temperature fluctuations that can happen during breathwork!) We will have blankets and yoga mats available at the space.

Psychodrama is an action method (developed in the 1920s by Jacob Moreno in Vienna) in which participants use spontaneous dramatization, role playing, and dramatic self-presentation to engage a situation or encounter. It is an incredible performative practice for diving deeply and playful into intra/inter-subjective facets of self and other. Psychodrama is practiced in a group, whereby one participant volunteers to be the protagonist who then acts on their "drama" with the aid of other group members as auxiliaries. It is a highly structured technique with forms that establish safety, minimize projection, and create the capacity for extremely deep and transformative expression.
