Jesse Grimmett’s journey began in the mountains of Arizona before relocating to Portland in 1995, drawn by the city’s thriving arts and wellness community. After many years living in Portland, Jesse felt called to deepen his involvement in the wellness community through massage therapy. Following graduation from East West College of the Healing Arts, Jesse built a solid foundation in the science and practice of massage therapy, developing ability in anatomy, physiology, and a range of bodywork modalities.
Jesse’s comprehensive approach blends modalities, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) aspects of structural integration and elements of Eastern techniques like Tui Na and Thai massage. This integration enables Jesse to create personalized treatment plans for each client. Drawing on a diverse professional background, Jesse brings empathy and understanding when treating a variety of work-related injuries.
Jesse’s own life experiences deeply influence their approach to care. By navigating personal challenges, Jesse has come to appreciate the powerful connection between mental and physical health, and recognizes how unresolved emotional trauma can affect the body. This perspective allows Jesse to offer a compassionate space for clients facing these struggles, and fostering the safety and trust essential for healing.
Jesse provides personalized care for athletes, tradespeople, service workers, and artists experiencing everyday aches and pains. He addresses challenges like repetitive movements, long hours, and physical strain by tailoring treatments for overuse injuries, poor posture, and creative fatigue. This inclusive approach supports well-being and helps clients perform at their best.
As an avid cyclist, Jesse emphasizes recovery, flexibility, and injury prevention, rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to feel comfortable and at home in their body.
